The room rate is one line of the stay
A Strip stay near the chosen show, a Downtown stay near Fremont and a suite-oriented property such as Vdara produce different evenings. Compare the same nights and actual room category first. A suite or separate sitting area can be worth choosing, but the property name alone does not establish that every room has the same layout.
Use the provider’s final quote for the room, mandatory fees and tax. Add parking and planned transfers in their own units rather than hiding them in an invented daily average. This guide does not supply a current room price because the required date-specific quote has not been obtained.
| Expense | Record as | Keep distinct |
|---|---|---|
| Room | Quoted total or nightly subtotal | The exact room and dates |
| Mandatory fees and tax | Provider’s stated total | No second counting if already included |
| Parking | Actual daily or stay arrangement | Published policy and current charge |
| Show and airport journeys | Per journey or party quote | The hotel’s location advantage |

A cheaper address can buy you another journey
Choose the evenings before the room: a Strip show and a Downtown night are not the same location. A low rate farther from both can add travel and remove the time you expected to spend walking. Conversely, a property close to the main evening can reduce repeated transfers without needing to win the lowest-room-rate comparison.
For a road trip, consider the car’s arrival and departure dates separately from the city stay. Read the actual parking and resort terms rather than assuming a familiar brand is unchanged. The better-value room is the one whose full quote and geography fit the intended holiday.

Place the evening plans on the map
List the shows, restaurants or venues that are already fixed. Then plot the hotel entrances and the actual walking or road route. Moving along the Strip is not the same as walking a short downtown block; resort interiors and crossings can add distance.
Vdara’s Aria-area setting and The Venetian’s location support different parts of a visit. A hotel can offer more room for the money while adding two transfers every night. That is a practical cost even when it does not appear in a booking engine’s hotel filter.
Make the room categories comparable
Both names include accommodation sold as suites, but “suite” is not a standard unit of bedding or usable space. Open the exact room description and check beds, occupancy, bathroom, view and the facilities you will use. Compare the same people and number of rooms.
A photograph of a premium suite does not describe the cheapest available category. If an accessible room is needed, check its actual features with the property rather than inferring suitability from the presence of elevators or a general accessibility statement.
Use the quote comparison, then read the terms
Enter the two real quotes in the hotel comparison within Trip Budget. The tool calculates complete totals only when every money field is known or explicitly zero. It keeps an incomplete quote’s known subtotal separate and excludes it from the cheapest-complete-stay result.
This comparison does not fetch rates, promise availability or create a reservation. Cancellation deadline, deposit and late-arrival conditions still need a side-by-side check. The lowest total can lose its appeal if your flight or plans are uncertain.
