How we research

Practical comparisons, clear sources and honest limits. Here is how a FiftyRoutes guide is put together.

Start with a decision

A guide should help you choose something: a destination, an overnight base, a manageable route or an activity that fits your day. We compare location, transport, time, effort and booking conditions before recommending a purchase.

Suggested trip lengths, route groupings and comparisons are editorial judgments. They are not live navigation, a guarantee of availability or a claim that every traveler will prefer the same option.

Research and personal experience are different

The initial FiftyRoutes guides are research-based. They draw on official park agencies, destination organizations, transport providers and operators. They are not presented as personal accounts of trips that have not been documented.

Nikita Zaytsev is the publisher and creator of TravelTribe. A photograph licensed from another creator is credited to that creator. We do not imply that a licensed photograph proves a personal visit.

Check the facts that can change

Road access, reservations, entry rules, fees, schedules and booking conditions need current checks. Each guide links to the sources that matter to its decisions. For a specific travel date, the official provider’s current information takes precedence over a general itinerary.

We avoid presenting unverified hotel rates or tour prices as live offers. When a changing fact cannot be kept current, the guide directs you to the official check rather than continuing to show an expired claim as current.

Explain the recommendation

A place can be useful for one kind of trip and a poor fit for another. Our comparisons describe that tradeoff. A quieter base may add driving; a central hotel may reduce transport costs; a guided outing may add knowledge or logistics that justify its price.

Shortlists are selected for the stated trip purpose. They are not exhaustive rankings, awards or claims of personal testing. The presence of a partner program does not determine whether a place deserves inclusion.

Keep money and advice understandable

Where an approved booking link earns a commission, we identify that relationship near the recommendation. Paid links are marked for search engines. Ordinary official links remain useful when there is no approved partner relationship.

We compare complete quotes on equivalent dates and occupancy. A low starting price without mandatory charges is not a meaningful comparison. Read how FiftyRoutes earns money.

Use real, credited photographs

Images should show the place named in the caption. We keep the original source, creator, license and any resizing or crop information. Credits are available in the photo register.

Correct a guide when the substance changes

We change an update date when the material changes, not simply to make a page look new. Corrections should identify the affected page, the disputed detail and a source or explanation that helps us verify it.

Use Contact & corrections to reach the publisher. A submitted correction is a lead to check, not an instruction to replace a fact without verification.
