Town, north side or Highway 128?
Town works for dinners, smaller local intervals and confirmed town tour departures. The north side is useful for a car-based program and for accommodation with more self-catering space. Neither puts the parks inside a walkable urban neighborhood.
Highway 128 is the river-setting choice. Red Cliffs Lodge and Sorrel River Ranch are separate properties outside the central town cluster. The Gonzo Inn publishes Standard King Rooms, Standard King Suites, Creekside and Rim Vista Suites, and a larger Moab Luxury Suite. A kitchenette is useful for a simple breakfast; it is not automatically a full cooking kitchen.

Hyatt Place Moab distinguishes its hotel rooms from its Casita category. The published Casita format combines a king bed, two queen beds and a sofa; compare that exact unit when a group needs more space. A standard room should not inherit the Casita’s layout.
Moab Springs Ranch offers studio-style bungalows and separate-bedroom townhouses. Kitchenettes vary by bungalow; the townhouses publish full kitchens and washer/dryer facilities. For a longer family visit, compare bedroom separation and the cooking equipment you will use rather than assuming all larger-looking units work the same way.

Sorrel River Ranch publishes cabin-style accommodation on a Colorado River ranch, with private porches. Choose it when time at the ranch and the river setting are a substantial part of the trip. Do not assume that activities shown on a resort site are included in the room rate, or that every cabin has the same sleeping and kitchen layout.
Families, bicycles, dogs and step-free access change the shortlist
For a family, settle actual beds and separate bedrooms first. A sofa sleeper and an additional bedroom solve different needs. Then compare the particular unit’s kitchen, laundry and ability to leave early without disrupting the whole group.
For a bicycle-led trip, ask for the property’s storage and cleaning arrangements. Gonzo publishes secure bike storage; this is not permission to put a muddy bicycle in the room. For a dog, obtain the specific pet-eligible room and dated restrictions. For access needs, compare the entrance to the room you book, bathroom, parking-to-room route and the outings as well as a general accessible-room label.
